Season for Polish cucumbers from glasshouses has started. First lots of domestic cucumbers got on market two weeks ago.

A run of good luck in export is going on. Russian buyers are interested in apples and purchase prices are increasing.

Prices of carrot as well as most vegetables are exceptionally low. Is there a chance to improve the situation?

In 50 week 2011 the average wholesale price of Chinese cabbage, white cabbage, onion and potatoes remained stable. The average selling price of Chinese cabbage was 0.90 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg and producer price was 0.50-0.60 PLN (0.11-0.13 euro)/kg. Price of white cabbage was 0.19 PLN (0.042 euro)/kg, price of onion 0.21 PLN (0.047 euro)/kg price of potatoes – 0.24 PLN (0.053 euro)/kg.

In 49 week 2011 the average wholesale price of carrot, Chinese cabbage, white cabbage, onion and potatoes remained stable.

In 48 week 2011 the average wholesale price of onion slightly decreased to 0.21 PLN (0.047 euro)/kg.

Prices of carrot, potatoes and cabbage did not changed in 47 week and were following: 0.48 PLN (0.11 euro)/kg for brushed carrot, 0.30-0.40 PLN (0.07-0.09 euro)/kg for washed carrot, 0.24 PLN (0.05 euro)/kg for potatoes and 0.19 PLN (0.043 euro)/kg for cabbage.

In week 46 the average price of onion remained stable at 0.22 (0.05 euro)/kg. Prices of Chinese cabbage were also stable. The average selling price was 0.90 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg. Producer price was 0.40-0.60 PLN (0.09-0.14 euro)/kg.

In 45 week prices of Chinese cabbage again decreased. The average selling price fell from 0.93 (0.21 euro) to 0.90 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg. The producer price was 0.40-0.60 PLN (0.09-0.14 euro)/kg.

In 44 week price of tomatoes size B remained stable – 18-20 PLN (4.09-4.54 euro)/6 kg and price of tomatoes BB size increased form 20-22 PLN (4.54-5.00 euro)/6 kg to 22-24 PLN (5.00-5.45 euro)/6 kg.
