Onion is the vegetable still in the biggest demand on our market. Supply is small, and many producers do not sell onion. Additionally the quality of onion available on the market is poor.

However, due to low supply such onion is intended for fresh market instead for processing. Quality problems concern also imported onion. Comparing to past years this season is rather poor for onion.

Current prices of onion are 1.00 – 1.30 PLN (0.25-0.33 €)/kg for domestic onion and 1.40 PLN (0.35 €)/kg for imported onion.
