Prices of bananas in retail chains

At the turn of 20 and 21 week of 2012 bananas dropped in price at about 10% in Biedronka, Leclerc and Real. In Tesco there was a promotional campaign for bananas and their price was lower at 30 % (from 4.99 PLN/ kg to 3.50 PLN/ kg). Last week (22) that price increased and it was as week before. The same situation was in Leclerc.

Almost all retail chains offer bananas mostly from Ecuador or Colombia. Only Lidl offers bananas of brand Chiquita. Real chain offers cheaper bananas in permanent sale as well as those from Chiquita at price 5.99 PLN/kg.
