Increasing demand for carrot

In April there was a stagnation on the market. Even best quality carrot was in price not higher than 1.00 PLN/ kg. At the beginning of May the situation changed. The supply of good quality carrot is lower and it influences prices and demand. The purchase price of washed and polished carrot comes to 1.20 PLN/ kg.

Prices of Polish carrot cannot increase because of vegetables from Holland and Belgium. In April there was a lot of Dutch carrot on the market and it cost 0.90 PLN/ kg. Currently imported vegetable is much better quality. It has also higher price – at the level of 1.40 PLN/ kg. However it still stops rise in prices of domestic carrot.

Prices of carrot as well as most vegetables are exceptionally low. Is there a chance to improve the situation?
