Increasing prices of carrot

 Currently prices of good quality carrot are high.

Last week we informed about a difficulties with finding good quality carrot. The trend is still visible. It is hard to buy good carrot and this is why prices are increasing. According to producers’ opinion the season for “old” carrot should finish in the middle of June.

The price of best brushed carrot is 1.20 – 1.30 PLN/ kg. On the local markets price comes to 1.60 PLN/ kg. Of course there is a lot of poor quality carrot o n the market. Its price starts from 0.80 – 0.90 PLN/ kg.

Similar situation is in Holland. During last month prices of Dutch carrot for export increased from 2.10 EUR/ 10 kg to 4.80 EUR/ 10kg.
