What is the situation on the wholesale market of root vegetables in the Małopolska Province of Poland?

 Also when it comes to the market of the Małopolska Region of Poland. But this does not mean that nothing happened in the trade in these vegetables.

On the contrary, the demand for carrots and parsley remained high all the time. The biggest problems for buyers were with obtaining proper quality parsley in large volumes. There are very few vegetables (of commercial quality) in the south of Poland. It is a bit better with carrots, but here again the demand is greater than the offer.

On the other hand, in the segments of beetroot and celeriac the situation is like it was before. Demand on the fresh market is limited, and the supply, although generally lower than in the "normal" season, is sufficient with excess for current needs.

 Currently, the prices of root vegetables in the Małopolskie Region of Poland are as follows:

- the area around Igołomi (producer prices):

brushed carrot  0,28 EUR/kg,

washed beetroot 0,12 EUR/kg,

parsley washed 1,05 EUR/kg.

- the area around Tropiszów (purchase prices):

brushed carrots 0,26 - 0,28 EUR

washed beetroot 0,12 EUR/kg,

celery washed 0,33 EUR/kg,

parsley washed 0,93 - 1,05 EUR/kg.

- the area of Krakow:

brushed carrot  0,28 - 0,35 EUR/kg,

young beetroot 0,13- 0,14 EUR/kg,

washed celeriac 0,35 - 0,37 EUR/kg,

parsley washed 1,02- 1,16 EUR/kg.
