First heterotic Variety of cauliflower was grown in Skierniewice (mazowieckie province).

Prices of vegetables in łódzkie province:

Cracow – fast growing demand for Chinese cabbage. Expensive Savoy cabbage and celeriac.

In 48 week 2011 the average wholesale price of onion slightly decreased to 0.21 PLN (0.047 euro)/kg.

The weather has improved so the season for broccoli and cauliflowers has not finished yet. Night without frost and relatively high temperatures during day enabled cauliflowers and broccoli to grow.

Bigger crops of cauliflowers were expected on 5-6 September but low temperatures during nights made vegetation longer.

We wrote about the supply drop of the cauliflowers in Zamosc, which resulted in an increase of the prices. In contrast to that region in the center of the country cauliflower prices remain stable and low.

High supply of cauliflowers in Polish market is maintained so far. There is virtually no gaps between harvests of these vegetables.
