Apples – increase in demand on eastern markets

Last days one could observe that the eastern recipients were more interested in Polish apples and the volume of export to Ukraine and Russia is increasing.

However it concerns only three varieties: Idared and traditionally in this season Golden Delicous and Mutsu. In the area of Grójec and Sandomierz prices of Idared (70 +) from the cold stores slightly increased and on Wednesday, 25 February they were at level of 0.70 PLN (0.15 euro)/kg for apples without packaging. Price of Golden and Mutsu 70 + from the cold stores or CA were about 1.50 PLN (0.32 euro)/kg for apples without packaging.
