Better crops of peaches and pears in 2008?

In comparison with last year when total crops of fruit was at low level (1 700 thousand tons) because of spring frost, this year bigger crops are expected.

The forecast prepared by IAFE-NRI (ZEO-IERiGŻ-PIB) shows that total crops of fruit may reach 3 460 thousand tons. The biggest increase is expected for peaches (four times), apricots (five times) and pears (about 3 times).
