Bigger demand for Chinese cabbage in the south of Poland

The trade in Chinese cabbage increased in the south, where prices are still lower than in other parts of Poland but one can still observe the upward trend. On Friday, January 8th the price of Chinese cabbage packed in cartons was even 1.30 PLN (0.32 euro)/kg.

In the south the demand for this vegetable is bigger but some producers still wait for higher price and do not open the cold stores. In central Poland the demand for Chinese cabbage is stable and on Friday prices were at the level 1.00 – 1.20 PLN (0.24-0.29 euro)/kg (including packaging).

The purchase price of not sorted cabbage without packaging was from 0.60 PLN (0.15 euro)/kg, but one can observe an upward trend in prices.
