Bigger purchase of sweet peppers

More of imported sweet peppers appeared on the Polish market in quarter 1 of 2008. Poland bought 8.3 thousand tons i.e. 13% more than last year. Import value amounted to 12.3 million EUR i.e. 3% less than in first quarter of 2007.

Spain was main supplier of sweet peppers. Spanish sweet peppers dominated the import completely, the share of Spain in import was 90%.
