Blueberries: higher crops in 2008

This year crops of blueberries can reach one of the highest level. According to forecast prepared by ZEO IERiGŻ-PIB crops of blueberries in 2008 will reach 8 000 tons, by 50 % more than last year.

Such big crops of blueberries are caused by increase of production area from 1 300 ha in 2005 to 2 500 ha in 2008. In 2008 productivity can reach 3.2 t/ha. In 2007 productivity was 2.6 t/ha and 3.5 t/ha in years 2005-2006.
