Decrease in export of vegetables

According to preliminary data from Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) export of fresh vegetables in January 2009 amounted to 38.5 thousand tons at value 13.2 million euro and the export of processed vegetables amounted to 49.2 thousand tons at value 30.1 million euro.

As compared to January 2008, this year’s export volume and its value decreased by about 40 %. As regards processed vegetable the export decreased by 30 % and its value by 20 %.
