Deep-frozen strawberries: worse results of the sale

The export of deep-frozen strawberries in the period January - April this year amounted to 20.8 thousand tons valued at 29.9 million EUR.

In comparison with the previous year one sold about 13 thousand tons less and the export income decreased by about 5 million EUR. On the other hand the export price increased from 1.04 EUR/kg to 1.44 EUR/kg during this period. The higher price at the beginning of year was caused by the increased demand for deep-frozen strawberries on world markets and by strengthening of zloty.
