Dried vegetables

Dried vegetables play more and more great role in the Polish trade. However domestic production of dried vegetables does not develop as fast as import. In two last years production amounted to about 20 thousand tons.

Forecast prepared by IERiGŻ-PIB shows that in 2008 production will stay at the same level. Import of dried vegetables in 2005-2007 years increased from 8.9 thousand tons to 12.2 thousand tons. In 2008 further increase of import to13 thousand tons is forecasted.
