Eating apples: prices still low

Big supply of eating apples results in their low prices. On Friday, 14th November the price of Jonagold, Jonagored, Idared size 70+ and of very good quality, intended for export, started from 0.188 euro/kg (price with the packaging).

More and more popular in the East variety Golden Delicious was an exception and its price was about 0.268 euro/kg. Such low prices cause that the profitability of large amount of orchards is very doubtful this season. Only the fact that export to the East started growing is hope for fruit growers. Increasing export can result in prices up.
