Export of Chinese apples to Russia is growing
Cheap apples from China can threaten the position of Polish apples on the Russian market. According to FAMMU/FAPA this year apple harvests in China will be higher than last year's by about 15%.
Large quantities of Chinese apples can be delivered to Russia supplanting the Polish apples, which still have troubles with the direct access to the Russian market. Such situation is disadvantageous to Polish fruit growers, because prices both exported apples as well as apples on the domestic market depend on volume of export to the East market.
