Export of Polish fruit

In the period January – September 2008 Poland exported 383.7 thousand t of fresh fruit. It is about 172.5 thousand t less than in 2007.

The reason of such situation is the very low last year's harvest who affected this year's export. Despite the fact the volume of export was lower by about 69 %, the value of export was lower only by about 5 % and amounted to 234.9 million euro against 247.7 million euro in 2007. It is caused by the high exchange rate of polish currency to euro in the analysed period.
