Falling prices of Chinese cabbage

Prices of new crop Chinese cabbage are quickly decreasing. The demand for this vegetable is too low to meet excessive supply. Additionally the demand from retail chains and the export to Russia are also at the low level so far. On Monday, May 23 the producer price of Chinese cabbage fell to 0.70 PLN (0.18 euro)/kg in the south of Poland and 0.90-1.00 PLN (0.23-0.25 euro)/kg in the centre. The wholesale price was 1.20-1.30 PLN (0.30-0.33 euro)/kg.
