First blackberries of the season

First cultivated blackberries appeared at the wholesale market in Poznań. Their price is 4.04 EUR/kg (fruit packed in 0.5 kg packaging).

Last year wholesale price of blackberries was higher and reached the level of 4.66 – 5.28 EUR/kg. At the beginning of third decade of July processing plants should start purchasing blackberries for processing. Last year purchase of blackberries for processing started on July 20th and price was 1.24 EUR/kg and in the end of July 1.38 EUR/kg.
