First deliveries of raspberries for deep-freezing

Processing plants started purchasing of raspberries for deep-freezing. Prices of first lots of raspberries delivered to the plants were 1.34 – 1.37 EUR/kg. At the purchasing centres price was lower by 0.06 – 0.09 EUR/kg.

Price of raspberries is more than doubled compared with last year. Most probably it is the effect of not too big crops of raspberries in Serbia, which are supplied mainly to EU countries. Prices of deep-frozen raspberries from Serbia are constantly increasing and nowadays raspberries grits cost 2.2 – 2.3 EUR/kg and extra class raspberries 2.8 – 2.9 EUR/kg.
