Fruit crops in 2010

According to the latest data of Polish Central Statistic Office (GUS) production of apples in 2010 amounted to 1,859 million tonnes i.e. by 29,2 % less than in 2009. Production of pears was 58 thousand tonnes (-30,7 %), plums – 91 thousand tonnes (-24,9 %), sour cherries – 143 thousand tonnes (-24,6 %) and strawberries – 177 thousand tonnes (-11,2 %). Only production of raspberries was higher than in 2009 and amounted to 88 thousand tonnes (+7 %).
