Further increase in Spanish tomatoes prices

Prices of Spanish tomatoes again increased. It was due to growing prices of the product in Spain. On Friday, December 3, the price of medium quality tomatoes was 42 PLN (10.50 euro)/6 kg. The price of good quality product was 46 PLN (11.50 euro)/box and even 48 PLN (12 euro)/box. High prices caused slight decrease in demand for Spanish tomatoes. However, at the moment Spain is the main supplier of this vegetable. On the market there are also available tomatoes imported from Turkey. They are much cheaper - 32-33 PLN (8.00-8.25 euro)/6 kg – but their shelf life is far shorter than this of Spanish tomatoes and they have to be sold very quickly.
