Growing demand for Lucas pears

On the market one can observe bigger demand for Lucas pears due to increasing export of this product to eastern markets. The purchase prices (producer) depend on size and fruit condition and are as follows: 2.00-2.20 PLN (0.50-0.55 euro)/kg for pears size 60+, 2.20-2.50 PLN (0.55-0.63 euro)/kg for 65 + (in some trading companies even 2.70 PLN (0.68 euro)/kg) and 2.80 PLN (0.70 euro)/kg for 70 +.
