Growing demand for plums for processing

Price of plums (Węgierka) for processing is increasing together with the growing demand. On Thursday, September 11th in the areas where the production of plums (Węgierka) is the biggest, price still stayed at the level of 0.12 – 0.15 EUR/kg.

But there are already areas where the price of this the most well-known variety of plum increased to 0.29 EUR/kg. In some regions of Poland there is even lack of plums (Węgierka), e.g. in surroundings of Łęczyca.
