Growth in import of vegetables

Spring weather contributes to bigger supply of imported vegetables in the wholesale markets. Quantities of new crop cabbage imported from Italy and Spain increased in recent days. The supply of French cauliflower is also higher. The first batches of sweet peppers from Holland appeared on the market. The product is competitive because the quality of Spanish pepper is not good at this time of year. On the market there is also carrot from France and Portugal. The supply of new crop potatoes is also growing.
