Heavy rainfall hits 40,000 farms in Poland

In Poland about 400,000HA of agricultural land have been damaged by floods over the last few weeks. At least 40,000 agricultural companies have been hit. This is according to the first estimates of the Polish government. Crops have been destroyed and the government fears, that because of the water damage, not all spring crops will be sowed. Also neighbouring Slovakia has been hit by rainfall lasting for several days.
