High prices of carrot for processing

The purchase prices of the carrot for processing (for cubes) are much higher than in 2008. At the moment the average purchase price in processing plants is 0.48 PLN (0.11 euro)/kg.

In podkarpackie and pomorskie provinces the price is 0.45 PLN (0.10 euro)/kg for carrot delivered to the plant and in the śląskie province the price is 0.55 PLN (0.12 euro)/kg. In some processing plants the price is even 0.60 PLN (0.13 euro)/kg. At the same time of last year the average purchase price of carrot was 0.35 PLN (0.08 euro)/kg.
