High prices of iceberg lettuce

Prices of Iceberg lettuce have increased significantly this week. At the beginning of January average price was 30 PLN (7.77 euro)/10 pcs., while at the moment the price is 50 PLN (12.95 euro)/10 pcs. Such strong upward trend in prices of iceberg lettuce is a result of low supply of this vegetable in exporting countries. Lettuces were affected by unfavourable weather. High prices may influence the demand for lettuce.
