Import of Italian watermelons increases

Every year Polish import of watermelons from Italy increases. Last year import from this country increased to 21,3 thousand tons, 15% more than in 2006.

Peak of import from Italy is dated on August, when deliveries in 2007 almost reached 7,6 thousand tons (10% more than in August 2006). Share of Italian deliveries in August 2007 reached 40%.
