Import of table grapes in 2008

In 2008 Poland imported 139.8 thousand t of table grapes at value 145.4 million euro. The biggest volume was imported from Italy – 76 thousand t at value 88.3 million euro.

From RSA we imported 23 thousand t at value 31.6 million euro, from Spain – 17 thousand t at value 26.7 million t and from Turkey – 16 thousand t at value 24.9 million euro. The biggest volume was imported in October – 23.5 thousand t at value 32.5 m euro, in November – 21.8 thousand t at value 31.1 m euro and in September – 19 thousand t at value 17 m euro. The average import price of table grapes was 1.08 euro/kg. As regards the kind of table grapes the white ones from Italy (53 thousand t at value 62.6 m euro) and white grapes from RSA (17 thousand t at value 25.3 m euro) were the most popular.
