Imported leeks are getting more expensive

Last week we informed abort decrease in prices of leeks imported form France and Belgium. Their prices fell to 3.50 PLN (0.89 euro)/kg.  In consequence prices of Turkish and Polish leeks decreased to 2.50-3.00 PLN (0.64-0.76 euro)/kg and 2.00-2.50 PLN (0.51-0.64 euro)/kg adequately. However this week situation has changed and price of Belgian and French product is growing. Currently the price is about 4.00 PLN (1.02 euro)/kg. But is still much lower than the highest prices in this season – in December it was 6 PLN (1.53 euro)/kg.
