Increase in prices of sweet peppers on Polish market

On Monday, 2 March the price of sweet peppers imported from Spain was by few % higher than last week and reached the level of 37 PLN (euro)/5 kg box. Moreover the prices are higher than at the same time last year.

Prices are influenced by situation on currency market. However the year by year increase in prices of sweet peppers isn’t so big in comparison with increase in prices of other imported vegetables. Spanish peppers have to compete with e.g. sweet peppers from Israel.
