Low price of apples for processing

Purchase prices of apples for processing do not exceed 0.06 EUR/kg, so they are drastically lower in comparison with those of last season when crops of apples was very low. Purchase prices will probably not increase.

We already informed this year crops of apples could be high, however unfavourable weather conditions contributed to affecting the apple trees by scab what will result in large amounts of apples for processing. One should also remember that processing plants has large stock of apple juice concentrate of the previous year (even up to 40 thousand ton). If purchase prices of apples for processing are so low one can expect the situation which at the moment is taking place with sour cherries to repeat itself.
