Low prices of plums?

According to forecasts prepared by IERiGŻ production of plums in 2008 will be very high and can reach the level of 100 thousand tons (in 2007 - 54 thousand tons, in 2006 - 94 thousand tons, in 2005 - 91 thousand tons).

Processing plants already started the purchase of plums. Purchase prices can be very low this season, even twice lower than last year. Purchase prices of plums for deep-freezing probably will not exceed the level of 0.18 EUR/kg. So far minimum prices of plums were in the season 2006/2007 when average prices was 0.12 EUR/kg.
