Low supply of domestic leeks

Although this is only half of November, the supply of leeks imported form Belgium is relatively large. This Belgium vegetable usually appear on our market just before Christmas. # # # It is due to insufficient supply of domestic leeks which are of poor quality (affected by diseases and pests) . Prices of domestic leeks are from 1.50 to 2.00 PLN (0.38-0.51 euro)/kg. The price of Belgium ones is around 2.50 PLN (0.63 euro)/kg.
