Low supply of leeks

Temperatures below zero are causing that the harvest of leeks is impossible. One can see clearly smaller supply of leeks in the wholesale trade.

In the central part of Poland the supply of leeks is so small that the wholesale trade is minimal. On Tuesday, 13th December the prices of leeks packed in cardboard boxes were 2.50 – 3.00 PLN (0.60 – 0.72 euro)/kg.
