Lower demand for domestic leeks

Preliminary data prepared by CAAC shows drop in export level of domestic leeks in January and February 2008. In those months 89 tons of leeks valued at 45 thousand EUR were exported.

It was three times less in comparison with last year. Biggest volumes were exported to Czech (40 tons) and Slovakia (24 tons). Little quantities were exported to Ukraine, Switzerland and Estonia.
