Moscow: prices of melons and watermelons

Last week in Moscow the price of melon varieties Torpedo from Uzbekistan increase from 45-50 rubles (1.15-1.28 euro) up to 62-68 rubles (1.59-1.74 euros) per kg. The experts noted that it was a temporary short trend associated with reduced supply of goods on the Russian market and by the end of the week prices of these melons slightly decreased to 60-65 rubles (1.53-1.66 euro) per kg. By the end of the week price of melon varieties Klhoznica from Russia also decreased from 32-38 rubles (0.82-0.97 euro) to 28-32 rubles (0.72-0.82 euro) per kg.

At the beginning of the week experts once again noted the decline in prices for domestic watermelons. Due to the increasing volumes prices declined from 8-12 rubles (0.21-0.31 euro) to 5-7 rubles (0.13-0.18 euro) per kg.
