Moscow: rising prices of domestic vegetables

Several significant changes in prices of domestic vegetables occurred on the Moscow market last week. The price of cabbage grew from 25-27 rubles (0.64-0.69 euro) up to 27-33 rubles (0.69-0.85 euro) per kg, price of beets - from 19-21 rubles(0.49 - 0.54 euro) to 27-30 rubles (0.69-0.77 euro) per kg and price of carrot - from 19-20 rubles (0.49-0.51 euro) to 20-23 rubles (0.51 - 0.59 euro) per kg. Price increase was caused by stocks declining. However, competitive prices of imported products may influence the price of domestic products and stop their growth.
