Onion still expensive

Although the weather slightly improved, the supply of domestic onion is still low and the demand for Polish onion is high. As a result prices of domestic onion are growing. The supply of imported onion is also increasing.

On Monday, September 21, the selling prices of domestic onion was 0.90 – 1.30 PLN (0.23-0.33 euro)/kg and on some wholesale markets price of onion was even over 1.50 PLN (0.38 euro)/kg. Prices of imported onion was 1.00 – 1.30 PLN (0.25-0.33 euro)/kg.
