Peaches and nectarines are going up in prices
Currently it is almost impossible to buy imported sweet cherry. In Chile – main supplier of these fruits in winter months – the season has finished.
In South Africa the season for peaches and nectarines also comes to the end. Due to this the supply is lower and prices have increased. Peaches imported from South Africa went up in prices at average 7 per cent and now cost from 72.00 to 78.00 PLN/ 5kg. The price of nectarines has risen at about 14 per cent and now it is 76.00 – 82.00 PLN/ 5kg.
The supply of plums from Africa is quite high what has a result in prices which decreased recently. Dark plums are cheaper at about 15 per cent and cost 50.00 – 57.00 PLN/ 5 kg. Yellow plums of variety African Pride are being sold in a stable price – 75.00 – 85.00 PLN/ 5 kg.
