Poland apple production down

Rajpol are one of the largest producer groups in Poland. The company has 70 members who produce fruit in an area of over 800 hectares. Every year they harvest over 18,000 tons of apples, 700 tons of pears, 600 tons of plums, 400 Cherry, 200 tons of Blueberries, 40 tons of red currants.

This year Rajpol started their apple harvest in the second week of September, 10 days later than normal. First the Galas then the Shampion were harvested. "There were a few problems with quality but we have a good price for industry and all of the poor quality apples will go to industry," said Dominic Wozniaz- sales manager.
