Poland: beginning of sour cherries purchase

It is only a begging of sour cherries purchase and so far only a few companies purchase these fruits. The bigger purchase is expected next week.

At the moment the purchase prices are rather low - from 0.75 to 1 PLN (0.17-0.23 euro)/kg. However one can expect that the demand from the processing plants will be quite big and a lot of fruit growers expect higher prices. It is very probable because this year there won’t be oversupply of sour cherries.
