Poland: big fluctuation in prices of greenhouse cucumbers

Last week prices of short greenhouse cucumbers were increasing quickly. On the contrary this week they are quickly decreasing.

This downward trend started already at the end of last week and at the moment is strong. On Tuesday, July 21 the price of short cucumbers packed in plastic bags was even 1.20 PLN (0.28 euro)/kg while last week their price reached even 3.00 PLN (0.70 euro)/kg. The reason of this fluctuation in prices is unstable supply of these vegetables.
