Poland: bigger supply of imported pepper

As usual for this time of year the supply of domestic pepper is low and such pepper is replaced by imported one.

Wholesale quantities of Polish green pepper are still available and on Wednesday, October 28, prices of this pepper were 1.50 – 1.60 PLN (0.35-0.38 euro)/kg (peppers packed in cartons). As regards domestic red pepper, the supply is very low and its quality is poor. Price of such pepper was 2.80 PLN (0.66 euro)/kg. The price of pepper imported from Spain, on the wholesale market in Bronisze was 18 PLN (4.23 euro)/carton 5 kg (3.60 PLN (0.85 euro/ kg) and it was lower by 2.00 PLN (0.47 euro)/carton than last week.
