Poland: consumers prefer mandarins

Mandarins are in much bigger demand than oranges and grapefruit due to consumer preferences. Mandarins are the most eagerly purchased fruit among imported fruit.

The price of Italian mandarins, medium size (4) is 30 PLN (7.26 euro)/10 kg and is even lower than the price of Spanish oranges, which cost 30-40 PLN (7.26-9.68 euro)/10 kg. Of course, the price of bigger (size 2) and better quality mandarins is significantly higher. On Wednesday, December 9th it was to 50 - 53 PLN (12.11-12.83 euro)/10 kg.
