Poland: decrease in import of citruses in 2008

In 2008 Poland imported 397 700 tons of citrus fruit at value 289.5 million euro. Compared with 2007 the import volume was lower by 10 % but the value increased by 15 %.

In 2009 one can observe further decrease in volume of imported citruses and for example in February import amounted to 36 000 tons at value 23.1 million euro and was lower by 25 % for volume and 34 % for value compared with February last year.
