Poland: demand for good quality citruses
Before Christmas, the demand for citrus fruit grows, especially for mandarins and oranges but customers mainly looks for fruit of the best quality. The price of such fruit is of course the highest.
On Friday, December 4, the price of mandarins size 1 - 2 imported from Spain was about 50 PLN/10 kg. Prices of the most beautiful Spanish oranges was also about 50 PLN (12.22 euro)/10 kg. The oranges of a little bit lower quality was about 40 PLN (9.78 euro)/10 kg.
Prices of Turkish lemons remain stable at 37 - 40 PLN (9.05-9.78 euro)/10 kg.
The lowest demand is for grapefruit. On Friday the price of grapefruit from Turkey was 48 - 50 PLN 11.73-12.22 euro)/12 kg. Florida grapefruit remain expensive - about 100 PLN (24.45 euro)/17 kg.
