Poland: early potatoes on the market

Companies buying vegetables for supplying the retail shops have already stopped purchasing potatoes from last year's crops.

At the beginning of this week the prices of domestic early potatoes were much lower than last week. In łódzkie province the purchase price of early potatoes decreased from 2.20 (0.49 euro) to 0.80 PLN (0.18 euro)/kg, in surroundings of Nowy Sącz from 1.25 (0.28 euro) to 0.90 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg, and in podkarpackie province from 2 - 2.50 (0.44-0.55 euro) to 0.90 - 1.20 PLN (0.20-0.27 euro)/kg.
